Late Days

Today I got home at 8:30 or so sat down to watch a little TV (recorded M*A*S*H), check up on the UCF news, and eat some Gouda and sliced apples with a small glass of port.

When I was trying to put together my timesheet at work (a document that tracks where and when I've used my time at work), the combined time for Wed-Fri was over 40 hours.

It's been a tough week.

Time for bed.

I used to have weeks like that, when I was still in a union in 88 I managed a 42 hour day.

Major power problem during a final rehersal and managment wanted me on site during repairs to deal with problems, then the broadcast past midnight the next day.

*HUG* I knew I should've stayed on as your official assistant for another week or two! *HUG*

Most freelance film people get a weekly 60-hour guarantee. Nobody ever actually works that little.

My normal week is 42.5, simply because I usually don't take more than 30 minutes for lunch. Providing of course I get to eat said lunch uninterupted.

However, for the pay period that started on the 16th, I had something like 107 hours and that includes the day I was out for jury duty!

ntsc - zzzzzzz . . . waaa? . . . is there a broadcast going on?

Anne - my sympathies! While it sounds from the comments that working OT is not necessarily unusual, it is ALWAYS a drag! Stay strong (and awake!) hopefully it will ease up soon!

Thanks, guys! Sometimes a little sympathy is all you need. :)
