Here, But Not Here Here

Sorry about the lack of entertainment here. I've had a pretty busy week (and next week is shaping up to be even busier). I've been going in early and/or staying late to the new job. Supposedly it will settle down.

You'll also be super proud of me -- I've also been doing chores (no, not just Farmtown). I mowed the lawn, did laundry, made catfood, emptied the catboxes, and a couple other small things, all in the evenings! Yup! I know!

The trickiest thing lately is keeping up with communications. And getting the proper sleep.

Speaking of which... good night, folks!

Yeah, what he said!!

I've known people over the years who've made dog food & cookies.

On the other, I am by nature a nightowl. Bedtime has been an issue since I was a kid.

At times of my life I've worked jobs that either got me up in the middle of the night (newspaper delivery) or full-on 3rd shift or got off after midnight (concert venue). It screws with your sleep pattern for a long time afterwards.

Don't know what my excuse is these days. I get into bad sleep patterns when I have time off, including unemployment last year. I can't even use the excuse that I was watching the Tonight Show, I quit watching when Leno went off.

But it's quite normal for me to be up and functioning at 2 AM & get up at be at work by 9 the next morning. Try to move bedtime earlier on a regular basis, it lasts about a week and then I'm back to nightowl status!

Yep. I make catfood. It's essentially ground up chicken with liver and some vitamin additives. I do it because it keeps the cats so nice and healthy. And they are such wonderful boys, they deserve it.

Yeah, Wendy, I do well with a 9 am start to the work day, but lately I've had quite a few "be there by 7" mornings.
I need to have 7 or 8 hours regularly to be alert. Combined with a brain dead morning routine, that means an earlier bedtime than 11-12 that I've been swinging lately.

Doesn't getting older suck when you realize that you have to be in bed well before the tonight show would ever start? ;)

Well, although I was never a Tonight Show watcher, it does suck that I have to be in bed before I feel like it simply because I know that if I don't I'll feel crappy in the morning.

Being responsible sucks sometimes. ;)
