Incurable

I am definitely an incurable night owl.
Because I like to exercise in the morning (requiring a 5:30 wakeup call) and need 8 hours of sleep, my bedtime is supposed to be 9:30 pm.
This evening, I got done making cat food shortly before 10. A little over bedtime, but not much.
But do I go to bed? No.
For some bizarre reason, I decide to put the new sheets I bought on the spare bed.
And when I got done that, did I go to bed? No.
For an even more bizarre reason, I sit down to write this blog post. I had to!

Well of course I did. Do you think post subjects like this grow on trees? ;)

What Tania said.

I'm a night owl myself, and usually don't go to bed until midnight or later. Part of that is my nature, part is that I get more work done at night (programming, web work, etc.) because the phone isn't ringing, and part is I like to wind down by reading before sleeping.

Unfortunately, I often have to be up early for work, so sleep gets shorted. But sometimes I'm lucky and get a nap in the afternoon.

I often find myself doing the same thing, which is why I try to not get on the computer after I've showed--and why I keep boring books around to read when it's time for bed. :)

Hope you weren't too cranky today. Right now I'm lying on the sofa still in my PJs, but that's because we drove to MD and back yesterday, and I'm taking the day off.

[blush] Thank you, Tania.

I am only marginally cranky this morning. It's not because I didn't get enough sleep, but rather because I skipped exercising and then felt fat while I was showering.

Oh well.

I did get to ride my motorbike in though! That puts lots to right.

I'm a night owl, but find it doesn't lend itself well to my schedule. Which means I'm tired a lot. :)

That said, if I DO wake up early, I prefer it to be God awful early, such that it's largely still night. I think waking up at 6 or 7 is just painful. PAINFUL.

I know you're not supposed to do this, but on the weekend, when I don't have super early or late activities, I generally go to bed around 11 and get up at 7. Now whether that translates into getting out of my PJs or not depends on if I have to go out of the house or if I'm doing inside stuff (like last Saturday, when I organized finances all morning).

I still can't get over the fact that you always make your own cat food!!

Mr. b goes to bed sometimes 2 or 3 hours later than I do, despite getting only about 20 or so more minutes of sleep in the morning. And I myself stay up far later than I ought to, often not going to bed until far too close to midnight.

I'm a night owl too. Telecommuting allows me to sleep in until 10 min before I need to be online - although I don't recommend that because it makes for a groggy and unbreakfasted employee. ;)

I also have a horrible inability to put down books, and read way too late in the night.

Glad you finally got to sleep!
