How I Spent My Sunday Afternoon

A photo essay:
Back in the fall, when I had to figure out how to store my motorcycle over the winter, I decided to organize the garage. I took almost everything out of the garage, then put the project on hold, because of studying. The last few weekends I've gotten back to the project, made shelves, thrown out stuff, and today I finished it. Pretty nice, eh?

I want a garage! I just have a basement, and bringing everything up the stairs (sometimes on homemade ramps) is a real pain.

But even if I had a garage, it wouldn't be as organized as yours (good job!). It might start out that way, but about the second or thrid new thing, the organization would go out the window.

Color me jealous.

Thanks, guys.
Michelle, that's quite a compliment coming from you.

On larger purchases, I end up looking at my storage/organization to see what to toss. It's small purchases, like books, that pile up for a while. I tend to prefer keeping my level of unused stored stuff to a minimum.

I'd like to purge, too, and keep extraneous stuff to a minimum, but the spouse is a packrat. I sometimes disappear things a few at a time while he's on business trips.

My garage is an overstuffed mess, and like Michelle, I bow before your gorgeous garage. :)

I have a spare bedroom, a garage to organize, and am an excellent Minneapolis tour guide.
