Every morning, when I emerge from the bathroom after my shower, Matti or Martin (usually Matti) is waiting for me to emerge. As I walk to the bedroom, he trots happily ahead. See, my job is to pet them after I shower. Not positive why, but it's definitely an expectation. After we do some of that, I turn to the closet to select clothes for the day and lay them out on the bed as I do this. Almost invariably, this happens:

Well now, you're just being gently reminded that no outfit is complete without a little cat hair to accessorize it.
Ah yes, the perfect accessory.
The nice thing is that their fur is banded, tan and black, so they show up on light AND dark clothing! :)
So are they showing approval or disapproval of what you pick out? ;)
Yeah -- what is that all about. Our big formerly-male cat insists on laying on my clean clothes in the morning. He is white and gray, so he, too, shows up on dark and light clothes. But he's so cute that I don't get mad.
I love their little routines - keeps me grounded in my day. :)
I always figure they lay on my clothes because they know I won't leave if I can't put them on.
I also imagine that they know their names, so I may be figuring and imagining wrong.
Heh. That's what I've always thought too, Nathan. It's akin to sitting in the empty suitcase when you're trying to pack.
