Craptactular Day

I think today was supposed to be fun, 'cause we had a 10 Year Anniversary thing for my firm. It involved fun and games and food and in some ways, it was fun-esque. However, I am not only literally sick and tired, I am/was figuratively sick and tired of some of the shenanigans on my project. A subcontractor began work on the roof this week and decided to ask all their questions about their work this week and of course, these questions made their way to me today, needing answers ASAP. Bunch of */#$%!

However, during the party, I got to hear some great &^@*$ situations that the interiors superintendents (from my company, not the general contractor) are having to deal with and frankly, makes my job sound like a piece of cake.

So, I would have rather had a fun day, but in retrospect, it could have been worse.

Me too. Some recent comments on my blog resurfaced crap I've tried to put to rest...

But hey, tomorrow's Saturday. That's cool, right? ;)

Mr. Powers is my kind of "little orphan Annie". The strains of "the sun'l come out tomorrow, bet your bottom dollar . . ." started to reach my ears :-) That made me smile!

My day was craptacular as well - but only because I'm a sickie, not for any *real* reason.

Funny how that works. Today was the chat with my boss as part of the annual evaluations, and in the course of our conversation, money and budgetting came up. And some of what was said stirred up my still-quite-strong feelings on the matter from last summer. So I've had an absolutely crummy day even though nothing was actually bad about today (other than the amusing non-yoga debacle in the morning).

Yes, thank goodness for the weekend! I'm not going in to work at all (unlike last weekend) and I'm going to visit a good friend and cousin of mine. We don't get to hang out that much, so it should be fun.

Aww, thanks, bel! You're the best. I needed that (even today, which is not quite craptactular, but stressful nonetheless).

Well, I'm glad it still helped, despite the delay. I haven't quite gotten the hang of the Google Reader yet. I need to *actually check it*!

I know. And it doesn't keep track of comments! Not sure if it's going to work for me yet.
