Case for the Challenger

"True love is the greatest thing in the world, except for a nice MLT, when the mutton is nice and lean and the tomatoes ripe. It's so perky."

I contend that Miracle Max is wrong and that the greatest thing in the world, besides true love, is a CBLT -- Canadian Bacon with Lettuce and Tomatoes. I had the sandwich pictured above (I can't believe I stopped eating it long enough to take a picture!) with a vanilla creme soda with dark rum. It was heavenly.

It's a good thing to take pleasure in the small things in life, because otherwise I'm fighting being torn apart by the stresses of life.
First, there is my job, which is like carrying a 32-story building on my shoulders.
Second, there is the new "fella", who is a pleasure to be with. Where's the stress? Inside, where I've got different parts of me (libido, emotions, intellect) fighting over what to think of it. I'll work it out eventually, but it's a puzzle in the meantime.
Third, I'm gearing up to take the Architectural Registration Exams. Yikes!
and Fourth, I'd like to get back to writing.
I'm getting weekly massages and going to a chiropractor to attend to how these stresses are affecting my body. I went in to work for 6 hours to get a grip on my workload. I'm trying to simultaneously take it easy (watching my Buckaroo Banzai DVD) while getting some work done (doing taxes).

Life, it's not for the faint-of-heart, is it?

That sandwich looks amazing. Vanilla Cream Soda and Rum, hmmm didn't think of that. Maybe we need to try that soon.

New Fella - You deserve this. You've worked hard for it; and might I say he's damn lucky to have made the cut and get YOUR attention.

A.R.E. - You can SO do this. You have the tools and the support team to accomplish this goal.

Work - welcome to the big time! They trust you enough to do what it takes to produce a quality product. Unfortunately, that means not being able to fit it in an 8 hour day. I feel your pain, but quite frankly, wouldn't truly be happy if it was different. I suspect you are probably similar; if you didn't have to work for it, it wouldn't be a satisfying.

I'm so happy to know you and be able to share all the new things in your life.

I truly understand how you are feeling right now! All I can say is hang in there, you are doing great! The rewards for things that are difficult far exceed the rewards for things that are easy.

Also, why wasn't I invited over for dinner for such a tastey looking sandwich? hmmmmm?
