It's certainly allowed if you can rope your team into committing time and money (fees for renting the field) to it. If your team is serious about it, or has players with enough experience, you can reach the A-league pretty quickly. My team has been playing for a year and a half and has only recently moved from D to C. If they put too much emphasis on winning and moving up in the league though, I'm quitting. I'm in it to have fun and have too many other commitments to put much more time in it than I already have.
Really, I didn't mind losing on Sunday because I had fun while we were playing. Not only was the other team skillful, they were clean players. I can't say everyone on my team walked away happy, but that's thier problem.Anne C.https://www.blogger.com/profile/09444051201220766948noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6889198.post-1102530265087137172004-12-08T11:24:00.000-07:002004-12-08T11:24:00.000-07:00I definitely wouldn't put "going to church" in the...I definitely wouldn't put "going to church" in the goofing off column.
Having brunch with the family is borderline. I'd maybe classify it as somewhat "relaxing" but not goofing off.
If you have to drive to get to it, it's not goofing off.Anne C.https://www.blogger.com/profile/09444051201220766948noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6889198.post-1102518707984013682004-12-08T08:11:00.000-07:002004-12-08T08:11:00.000-07:00How do we count going to church and having brunch ...How do we count going to church and having brunch with the extended family? Goofing off? I sure would. About the soccer game, it would be interesting to know how long that really good team has been playing together and if they practice between games (or is that against the rules in that league; i.e. getting too serious about it?). We pay to participate and play year-round about once a week. I've been playing for about a year and a half now and never played on a team before this. I imagine it's a lot like the coed league you've seen before. It's fun, and the experience of being part of a team is really interesting and a good learning experience.
As for "Angels in America", it certainly is well done, and the acting is very good. As I said, some of the storylines are intriguing and thought-provoking. I'm feeling so ambivalent about it, I really couldn't say if I recommend it or not.Anne C.https://www.blogger.com/profile/09444051201220766948noreply@blogger.com
