Speaking of Boring...
My blog is rated G, because I said "crap" once.
I knew that I don't use fuck, shit, damn, hell, or bitch much, but damn, I don't even use hurt, shoot, ass, bomb, steal, dead, death, murder, kill, sex, or sexy much either. Well, this post should solve that.
I wonder if they look at every blog post ever or just the ones that show up on the first page. Here's where to check your own blog.

Woohoo! This post pushed me into R rated territory, though they didn't list all the words I just used, only the ones without a comma after them. So if you don't want to be caught by the censors, use a comma after your bad words.

It just checks your main page, so it's only what you've read recently.
And like I said on Nathan's blog, the fact that my book blog comes up as NC-17 showed how truly screwed up their rating system is. (I mention sex solely to make people aware if there is a lot in a book, so they aren't unpleasantly surprised. Or, to look at it another way, "Don't give this book to your 14 year old niece if you want your sister to continue speaking to you.")
But really, you're just going to have to expand your fucking vocabulary if you want the damned censors to come down on you.
Hmm, just checked it again and goddammit, they don't seem to include comments in their review either.
Thanks for trying to fucking help, Michelle. ;)
ROFLMAO
Sorry, I'm laughing so hard I can't contribute anything constructive. (I don't think they check acronyms either.)
That reminds me - I heard a clever radio add the other day that was translating texting jargon like LOL (laugh out loud), BRB (be right back), etc. The funny part was when they got to WTF - they translated it as "Well, that's fantastic!". It was so funny because you know as they mention it there are millions of people sitting on the edge of their chair just waiting for them to say it on the radio and then . . . . well, that's fantastic. (giggle)
Go for the NC-17, Anne...you know you want to.
I can't fooking believe the ratings - I'm going to have to do something about my rating...I'm certainly not a "G"
It used to be so clean here. What a bunch of potty-mouths. :D
I checked when I got home, and Snave is a "G" rating, too. But after reading this comment thread, it means "Gasping for breath."
Tom, make sure you put in the blog address and not your main URL.
klishis.com is rated G, but my two blogs have two different ratings, because it only looks at the pages listed--it doesn't analyze any sub pages.
Hmm... can anyone tell, does it analyze comments too? Or just blog articles? If it's just the main page, probably the latter.
Mine was G too, which is just fine... my kids and fundamentalist inlaws read it. :P
Just the main page. No archives, no comments, just what's on that page you enter into the... err.... thingy.
